Substation – Transformers and Distribution Systems

Talen Energy is soliciting candidates interested in filling the position of Substation at the Cumulus Campus located near Berwick, Pennsylvania. We are currently hiring for all 3 levels. Position level and pay will be determined by experience.

The Cumulus Campus is located less than 30 miles from Wilkes-Barre, which is at the western edge of the picturesque Pocono Mountains vacation region, we are conveniently located near the main interstates which connect all the major East Coast cities.

Under general direction, On-shift substation team will be responsible for the 24x7 operations and troubleshooting activities associated with large power transformers and switchyard equipment at the Cumulus Campus. A qualified candidate will monitor, oversee and control the safe and reliable operations of the power systems. They will also provide switching, tagging, and direction to other employees to support, maintenance and distribution of high quality, timely and cost-effective power to the customers.
