Substation Engineer

How You'll Make an Impact

- Develop new solutions for complex projects and challenges

- Drive completion of all engineering activities on projects

- coordinate mechanical engineering discipline across several projects.

- Provide technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities

- Create work plans and cost estimates, ensuring quality deliverables.

- Interact directly with customers, officials, contractors, and supply chain.

- Ensure adherence to safety standards and mitigate potential risk.

- Prepare manufacturing documents for control and protection cubicles.

Your Background

- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

- 3-5 years of relevant experience

- .In-depth knowledge of the National Electric Code and ANSI/IEEE requirement

- Experience in plant design, specifically with HV transmission substation solutions

- Proficiency in BIM / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and Revit – 3D Modeling

- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada

- Candidate must be fluent in both French and English
