APT Technical Services, Inc. is a small business in Coraopolis, PA. We have been in the business continuously since 1999 providing High Quality Project Management and Engineering Services for Industrial Plants.

Our organization is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing electrical calculations, designing electrical systems, analyzing and troubleshooting design issues, review and checking of vendor equipment drawings, and providing technical support for issues that arise during field construction. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, experience with Electrical System Power and Control Design and analysis, and a passion for creating innovative and high quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze customer needs and determine electrical system requirements.

- Develop cost-effective solutions for new installations and existing system upgrades.

- Design electrical substations and power distribution systems according to project specifications and to meet safety and reliability standards.

- Create electrical schematics and plans using AutoCAD.

- Perform the work in accordance with our company’s established Procedures and Process.

- Conduct system design reviews to identify potential improvements or optimizations

- Coordinate with equipment manufacturers to ensure equipment meets project specifications and requirements.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of electrical systems

- Coordination with the customer.

Required Qualifications

- Proficiency in Electrical Design and Electrical Engineering

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

- Work with Excel, AutoCAD and Outlook.

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

- Ability to work on-site in Coraopolis, PA

Preferential Skills

- Knowledge and experience with Electrical Power Distribution and Substation Design

- Professional Engineer (PE) license

- Experience in project management

- Solidworks Design Capabilities and Experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
