We are seeking skilled and experienced crews for Substation Construction work. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical equipment in substations. - Perform routine maintenance on substation equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, switches, and relays
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues or malfunctions
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults and failures
- Test and calibrate protective relays and other substation equipment
- Install new equipment and make modifications to existing systems
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of substations
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry standards and regulations
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Substation Technician or related field
- Knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage applications desired
- Experience with rigging and operating bucket trucks for elevated work
- Ability to perform tree trimming around substations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Possession of a valid Class A CDL is HIGHLY PREFERRED. Those hired without a CDL may be required to obtain it within 90 days of employment.
