To assist in the development of engineering studies, plans, specifications, calculations, design documents, and performance assessments associated with the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the company’s transmission and distribution system.
The work is fast paced, varied, challenging, and rewarding. Work areas our group focuses on include arc flash analysis, automation, battery testing, breakers (medium and low voltage), bushings, control systems, dissolved gas analysis, excitation, generators (rewinding, modeling, testing, cleaning, painting), governors, load centers, motors (control, protection, replacement, sizing), NERC PRC & MOD, project management (appropriations requests, forecasting, accruing, requisitioning, contract scope authoring, contract management, installation coordination, field commissioning), protective relays (protection, control, coordination, bus generators, transformers, feeders), power factor testing, programmable logic controllers, SCADA, switchgear, transformers(testing, requisitioning, removing/installing, monitoring), variable frequency drives.
Occasional work travel to remote field locations may be 1% to 20% of the year (Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Utah, Montana).
