Role Reports To: Director of Strategic Development

Position Snapshot

The Manager of Land Acquisition will be responsible for overseeing land campaigns, conducting real estate diligence efforts, and ensuring site control is maintained for renewable energy projects during the inception and early stages of development.

- Identify and evaluate land for renewable projects

- Lead land agent teams and manage stakeholder relationships

- Negotiate land contracts and oversee real estate agreements

- Collaborate with legal on templates and risk management

- Monitor acquisition progress and report milestones

- Engage with local communities to support project success

Minimum Qualification:

- BA/BS in a relevant field

- 5–8 years in land acquisition within energy/renewables

- Experience with utility-scale solar, wind, or BESS; MISO, ERCOT, SPP preferred

- Strong project management, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills

- Ability to manage land agents and multiple acquisition efforts

- Proficient in budgeting, spreadsheets, and legal coordination

- Willing to travel up to 30% across the U.S.

The salary for this position typically ranges from the minimum to the midpoint annually, based on experience and qualifications.
