Job Summary
Perform duties under general supervision that involve receiving, checking, inspecting, recording, storing and issuing new, returned and reclaimed stores material, supplies and equipment, issue, track, inspect and perform minor repairs on tools as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:* Receive, check, inspect for breakage and apparent defects; identify, count, weigh, sort, store and issue new, returned and reclaimed stores material, tools, supplies and equipment from all sources in accordance with specified procedures and complete related papers; make recommendations and suggestions for improvement.Education: High school diploma
Must be able to pass an examination, if required, and in addition: Must have a minimum of eighteen months or 3,120 hours of experience as a Stores Attendant-Jr or equivalent.
Through a combination of education and/or experience, must have sufficient knowledge and skills to perform the duties and/or responsibilities listed above, and also have the physical capabilities to perform the required work.* Must have mechanical aptitude.Successful completion of the Support and Administrative (SASS) selection tests are required for this position.* A review of Employment Testing Information, Test-Taking Tips, and the SASS Practice Tests may be helpful.

The Physical Demand Level for this job is: H – Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
