Store Manager INDIAN GROCERY STORE

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to oversee daily operations at our retail location. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring the store runs efficiently while maintaining a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Duties

- Lead and motivate a team of employees to achieve sales targets and provide outstanding customer service.

- Oversee daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and cash handling.

- Conduct employee orientation, training, and development to enhance team performance.

- Manage scheduling, payroll, and budgeting to ensure operational efficiency.

- Monitor inventory levels and implement effective inventory control measures.

- Handle recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding of new staff members.

- Develop marketing strategies to promote sales and enhance store visibility.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as safety regulations.

- Maintain visual merchandising standards to create an inviting shopping environment.

- Foster a positive work culture that encourages teamwork and collaboration.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with a focus on customer service.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.

- Proficient in retail math, inventory management, POS systems, and cash handling procedures.

- Experience in budgeting, payroll processing, and bookkeeping is preferred.

- Strong organizational skills with effective time management capabilities.

- Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and manage purchasing decisions.

- Familiarity with merchandising techniques and retail sales strategies.
