Overview: Steam Generator Technician (Secondary Side) - Contract for Fall, 2025 Outage Opportunity

WECTEC Staffing/Westinghouse is looking for Steam Generator Technicians to work on secondary side service activities for the Fall, 2025 outage season.

The Steam Generator Technician will provide hands-on work in containment to accomplish secondary side service activities. In addition to the responsibilities below, the Technician must be thoroughly familiar with the practices required to work in FME Zone 1 and understand all associated inspection and logging requirements. The Technician should also be competent with ALARA practices for working in high radiation areas.

Your Day-to-Day:

- Under the direction of knowledgeable Technicians, set up equipment to support SG Secondary work.

- Work will include running hoses and cables, staging equipment, and material handling.

- Help with the installation and alignment of sludge lance fixtures.

- Perform platform support of sludge lance, including installing and removing lance sections

Who You Are:

- Comfortable working in confined spaces for a long duration.

- Be able to fit through a manway opening of 16” to 20”.

- Be able to read & understand schematics.

- Patience to work with delicate, small diameter probes for viewing and retrieving small parts in the generator.

- Proficiency in Windows 10 and 11, Microsoft Word, and Excel.

- Nuclear power plant experience preferred.

- One year of nuclear outage experience is required.

- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be ($45.00/hour to $50.00/hour).
