Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities:
•Provides expert consultation in one or more areas for the design, development and implementation of technical products and systems.
•Recognized industry technical expert in one or more subject matter areas.
•Coordinates efforts at all levels and with other departments
•Develops and evaluates plans and criteria for a variety of projects.
•Assesses the feasibility of proposed Engineering evaluation tests or products when necessary data are insufficient.
•Works toward solutions and applications that work for the entire system.
•Helps management set technical objectives.
•Goals are generally communicated in solution or project goal terms.
•Provides expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of technical products and systems.
•Able to develop new or improved processes or techniques if necessary.
•Assists in determining project objectives to contribute to the development of a comprehensive project design.
•Resolves highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced research.
•Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
•Has extensive engineering knowledge and is considered an expert in one or more engineering specialties. Provides technical direction to team members.
•Outlines project requirements and monitors progress to ensure the objectives are being met.
•Consistently looks to improve process, procedures, and standards.

•Participates in defining engineering approaches and in planning and scheduling work.
•Typically performs multiple engineering-related tasks in various assignments within the organization. Oversees the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. Performs engineering assignments which represent a significant portion of a larger project.
•Schedules and coordinates major segments of projects.
•Reviews design and documentation to ensure compliance.
•Conducts feasibility studies, determines manpower, cost estimates, and develops Engineering criteria.
•Significantly contributes to business objectives by generating and implementing project ideas.
•May guide and train less experienced engineers.
•Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.
•Assists in the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods and reports.
•Performs conventional Engineering assignments; may involve project design, material recommendations, etc.
•Works with drafters, technicians, and other Engineers to complete projects
•Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
•Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
•Performs routine Engineering tasks to expand knowledge and experience.
•Provide straightforward solutions to problems.
•Assists in design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems.
•Follows prescribed procedures and conducts analyses to develop design options or recommendations.
•Assists more senior engineers in the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods and reports.
•Work on a small portion of a larger project. Work is closely managed.
•Deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism.
•Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and listen carefully.
•Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and a consistently high level of performance.
•Will work non-traditional hours as needed.
•Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
•Other daily, weekly, monthly or special project duties as identified and defined.

Qualifications
Minimum requirements
:
Education•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Engineering or a related field.
Experience/Specific Knowledge
•A minimum of 15+ years of experience in engineering or related field.
•Make up to 10% to 15% of the population.
•Advanced proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations
•Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

Working Conditions
•Required to carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
•The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including credit report for certain positions, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $170,000-$208,000/yr.

: Compensation ranges are provided in good faith based on what we anticipate when researching wages for this position at the state and national levels. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
