DLTalent has partnered with a medical device manufacture to hire a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Production Manager to lead all daily operations at their Arden Hills facility. This critical role will drive excellence in safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery by developing high-performing teams and optimizing production processes. The Senior Production Manager will be a key leader in executing the business strategy and achieving corporate objectives for this facility.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Champion Safety: Cultivate and enforce a safety-first culture across all facility operations, ensuring the well-being of all team members.
•Optimize Production: Oversee and manage all aspects of daily operations, including assembly and fabrication, to maximize efficiency and output.
Develop and Empower Talent: The Manager will have 7 direct reports and ~200 indirect reports working across 3 shifts*. You will identify resource needs, justifying personnel changes, lead the talent acquisition process in partnership with HR, and provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance management (including formal reviews and disciplinary actions when necessary) to direct reports.
•Provide Operational Leadership: Direct and guide supervisors, experienced exempt employees, and skilled nonexempt staff to achieve unit and project goals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Collaborate with Internal Stakeholders: Proactively engage with internal customers to understand their needs, respond to inquiries, and clarify operational procedures. Communicate cross functionally with Engineering, Quality Assurance and Manufacturing.*
•Drive Operational Excellence: Execute and contribute to the development of operational policies and procedures that enhance efficiency, quality, and safety within the assigned unit.
•Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and maintain compliance with all relevant company policies and external regulations (e.g., FDA, BSI, EEO).
•Stay Informed: Continuously monitor internal and external indicators through reports, industry publications, peer interactions, and departmental updates to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
•Manage Budgets Effectively: Contribute to the development and diligently monitor the area/organizational unit budget, proactively analyzing costs and spending.
•Uphold Quality Standards: Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to safety and product quality by adhering to the Quality Policy and all documented quality processes and procedures.
•Foster a Quality-Focused Culture: Establish and promote a work environment that actively supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
The ideal candidate will possess the qualifications highlighted below:
•Experience managing salaried and hourly employees within Medical Device manufacturing is required
•High volume manufacturing experience preferred
Understands lean six sigma, lean manufacturing or 5S principals*
•Excellent communication skills
