- Develops a powerful project execution team that is focused on delivering renewable projects that enable the enterprise to meet stated sustainability commitments.
- Understands the requirements and contributions of critical team positions and that of the key stakeholders.
- Supports the Utility in the project development process when requested and the role of the Public Utility Commission on self-build viability.
- Manages the execution of the project vision and execution philosophy, along with deliverables necessary to progress a project through the Stage Gate Process.
- Utilizes Commercial Expertise to consult on commercial agreements and delivers successfully negotiated contracts with the partnership of key stakeholders through project execution.
- Full understanding of the contractual aspects of projects and the need to support the creation of a contracting strategy that delivers superior economic performance and that can be executed safely, with high quality while delivering cost and schedule certainty.
- Constantly works effectively to negotiate and resolve contract challenges. Utilizes their relationship with Supply Chain to ensure the effective development of projects.
- When requested, the regulatory functions closely to support the requirement of receiving the necessary certifications, including providing written and verbal testimony before the commissions.
- When requested, works closely with SME’s across ETR power generation environmental to determine permitting requirements and obtain the necessary permits.
- This position is required to collaborate with various HR groups to implement inclusion initiatives across the project team.
- Mentorship and development of their team and the individual team members.
- At least 10 years’ experience in capital projects development and management experience. Power Generation project development experience essential.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred.
