We are now seeking a driven and experienced Senior Plumbing Estimator to join our growing team and help lead the next phase of our service operations.
Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned and highly motivated Senior Plumbing Estimator with extensive experience in plumbing service and repair operations. This leadership role is ideal for a candidate with 7–10 years of experience estimating service work and managing field technicians in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
This individual will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial and residential plumbing service projects, as well as managing and dispatching field teams to ensure timely and high-quality execution. The ideal candidate combines deep technical knowledge with operational leadership and a strong sense of urgency.
Key Responsibilities
Service Estimating & Proposal Development
•Review service requests, site conditions, and work scopes to develop timely and accurate estimates for plumbing repair and service jobs.
•Prepare detailed quotes and proposals for clients based on industry standards and company pricing models.
•Collaborate with account managers and clients to ensure scope, pricing, and timing align with expectations.
Field Team Management & Dispatching
•Manage the daily scheduling, dispatching, and performance of field service technicians.
•Balance workload distribution to optimize labor utilization and client responsiveness.
•Monitor field activities to ensure adherence to job specifications, safety standards, and service excellence.
Operations Oversight
•Act as the key liaison between the office and field teams to ensure job readiness, materials coordination, and workforce availability.
•Track ongoing service jobs for budget, timeline, and scope adherence; provide regular performance updates to leadership.
•Recommend and implement improvements to estimation and dispatching processes to increase operational efficiency.
Leadership & Mentorship
•Train and mentor junior estimators and dispatch coordinators.
•Provide leadership and hands-on support to ensure technicians deliver consistent, high-quality work.
•Foster a positive and accountable team environment rooted in safety, reliability, and professionalism.
Qualifications
•7–10 years of experience in plumbing service and repair estimating, with proven leadership in managing and dispatching field personnel.
•Strong understanding of plumbing systems, repair methods, building codes, and regulatory compliance.
•Experience with service ticketing systems, dispatch software, and plumbing estimating tools.
•Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to work in both office and field environments as needed.
•Plumbing Journeyman license or higher preferred.
•High school diploma required; vocational training or management certifications a plus.
Working Conditions
•Full-time, salaried position with regular office hours; occasional overtime or extended days based on workload.
•Field visits required to assess job sites and support technicians.
•Must be comfortable in a hands-on, leadership-focused role that blends administrative and field coordination responsibilities.
Compensation & Benefits
•Base Salary: $110,000 – $130,000, depending on experience.
