We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer II, Equipment to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development and optimization of cutting-edge solar equipment.
The Senior Engineer II, Equipment will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and enhancement of solar manufacturing equipment. This individual will lead engineering projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure our equipment meets the highest standards of performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Design & Development: Lead the design, development, and optimization of solar manufacturing equipment. Apply engineering principles to create innovative solutions that enhance equipment performance and reliability.
Project Management: Manage engineering projects from conception through implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to achieve project goals.
Technical Expertise: Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for equipment issues. Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing equipment performance, identifying opportunities for enhancement, and implementing best practices and process improvements.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and processes.
Documentation & Reporting: Develop and maintain detailed documentation for equipment design, specifications, and processes. Prepare and present technical reports and updates to stakeholders.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all equipment designs and modifications comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements. Promote a culture of safety and adherence to best practices.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in equipment engineering, with a focus on manufacturing or production equipment. Experience in the solar industry or renewable energy sector is highly desirable.
Certifications: Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or equivalent is preferred.
