Sr. Design Engineer - Gas Transmisson

ENTRUST Solutions Group is looking for Senior Design Engineers. This position is responsible for performing engineering design on a variety of engineering tasks both independently and with ongoing supervision. The Sr. Design Engineer receives technical guidance and support to implement into project deliverables. You will work closely with senior engineers, managers, peers, and junior engineers on typical engineering assignments.

Responsibilities

- Applies technical knowledge to designs and ensures projects meet specifications.

- Shares information with team as well as question internal and external Stakeholders to appreciate the design requirements and nuances of tasks.

- Communicates challenges regarding scope, cost, schedule and quality to Project Managers

- Works with Designers and Drafters to complete design packages.

- Supports the preparation of simple and medium designs or portions of larger projects, including calculations and drawings.

- Leads the development of their discipline's design on simple projects, and supports complex projects, including moderate difficulty technical analyses.

- Understands and applies appropriate industry codes, standards, and regulations.

- Identifies information to be communicated to the client and project stakeholders through team leads and project managers.

- Conducts communications in a professional and clear manner; communications are timely and in an appropriate format for the topic.

- Supports team interactions with Clients and vendors including creation of equipment and material specifications.

- Assists the Design Coordinator to evaluate design personnel and assigns design related tasks to Designers and Drafters via the Design Coordinator

- Ensures the work products prepared under their control follow established internal and client procedures, including quality control, document control, procurement, and other pertinent policies.

- Self-checks work assignments prior to submitting for review, completes work with minimal errors. Participates in peer reviews and quality reviews.

- Project travel as required but not expected to exceed 25%, often 1x per quarter, which may include driving to project sites.

- Performs all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET accredited university (preferred electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or civil/structural engineering)

- 2-5 years of relevant industry experience

- Pipeline and/or facility experience required

- Experience with AutoCAD

- Strong work ethic with desire to work in a team environment.

- Strong Communication skills

- Must have a valid driver's license without restrictions

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of FERC

- Registration as a EIT or professional engineer

- Benefits & Salary: This position pays between $73,507 and $97,141 annually and is an exempt position.

- Benefits offered include company sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually.

- Full time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours.

- May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
