- Support the Controller with accounting activities including execution of key processes
- Prepare monthly and quarterly accruals, including processing of journal entries
- Assist with interpreting the Processing Agreement, Partnership Agreements and other agreements to record monthly activity and cash settlement
- Review reporting and analyses from accounting results to ensure counterparties are operating efficiently and within the terms of the respective agreements
- Assist in the coordination of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements
- Assist in gathering key inputs from various departments related to the forecasting and budgeting process
- Providing financial analysis support as required by the Controller
- Previous experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller with the ability to work independently
- Strong ability to adapt with changes and be versatile to the job responsibilities from junior to senior level work
- Accounting designation CMA, CGA, CA required
- Experience with Dynamics 365 is an asset
- Strong understanding of refinery or oil and gas industry
- Ability to priority deadlines and shift focus as required
- This position is a 6-month contract role with possibility for extension. The role will be 30-40 hours per week, dependent on workload and priorities.
