Job Description
You will be responsible for data collection (desktop and in the field), research and analyses for corrosion and pipeline integrity-related projects. You will be performing detailed analyses and data evaluation for client pipelines and facilities. You will be responsible for providing oversight of field inspection teams, creating technical reports, interacting with customers and travel to client facilities. Relevant experience includes test point surveys, Close Interval Survey (CIS), Locate and Mark, rectifier maintenance/troubleshooting, basic understanding of RMUs.
•Test and assess cathodic protection systems
•Gather field data including but not limited to structure-to-soil potentials, soil resistivity, continuity, rectifier output, anode output, etc.
•Evaluate, troubleshoot, and repair cathodic protection rectifiers
•Operate equipment such as test rectifiers, insulating tester, pipe locator, portable power generator, field computer, etc.
•Tabulate and organize field date
•Prepare cathodic protection survey reports for review
•Lead and supervise entry level technician and support construction team
•Make preliminary repair and maintenance recommendations per filed observations
•Assess issues and problems in the field and respond accordingly under the direction of senior engineers and/or supervisor
•Maintain client relationships with the goal of meeting customer expectations
•Work in compliance with technical, safety and compliance procedures and guidelines
Basic Qualifications:
•High-school diploma or greater
•Minimum one year experience in cathodic protection or corrosion engineering
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.
•Must be able to qualify and maintain Operator Qualification (OQ) standards.
•Must be able to prioritize tasks efficiently and effectively under time constraints.
•Ability to tailor communications to everyone from the Janitor to managers/supervisors.
•Exhibit great attention to details.
•Willingness to develop skills and certifications through applicable industry organizations, such as NACE International.
Working Environment / Physical Demands:
•Travel will be a requirement.
•Ability to drive off-road or a willingness to learn.
•Some work will be in the field and remote wilderness locations.
•You may be frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, reach, climb and bend.
•This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
•Must be able to pass a "Fit for Duty" physical and drug screening.
•This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

•Valid Driver’s license (required)
•Has or willing to obtain in one year of employment for NACE Cathodic Protection tester (CP-1) or higher
