The Sr Advisor Enterprise Consolidations is responsible for managing and optimizing the financial consolidation process using Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), assisting with the implementation of Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service (FCCS) and reviewing certain monthly/quarterly financial statements.

- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and consolidation process in HFM including accuracy of intercompany eliminations, currency translations and journal entries along with consolidation checks, documentation and analysis;
- Directly supervise two Consolidation Advisors; providing leadership, workload management, mentoring, coaching and training as required;
- Preparation of a quarterly consolidated variance analysis. Ensure accurate and meaningful explanations are distributed to the Calgary Financial Reporting group, Corporate Controller, CFO, Investor Relations, and external auditors;
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial statements and review of certain standalone monthly financial statements;
- Assist in resolving complex consolidation accounting issues during the monthly close process including accounting for non-recurring and other material transactions (e.g. acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations);
- Assist in the implementation of new consolidation processes and special projects, including the implementation of FCCS.
- Build good working relationships with Finance groups in subsidiaries; use indirect facilitative leadership skills to achieve common objectives and goals;
- Work closely with Financial Reporting & Accounting Research to ensure that new accounting standards are properly reflected in the consolidated results;
- Maintain an awareness of current IFRS and US GAAP accounting pronouncements through professional development programs and courses.
- Professional accounting designation - CPA;
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP;
- 6+ years prior accounting/finance related experience;- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite;
- Previous experience in a managerial/supervisory role would be an asset;
- Demonstrated experience in complex financial reporting positions;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including executive presentation;
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several project deadlines concurrently;
- Strong financial system skills; experience with various financial accounting systems and applications;
- Proven team player, demonstrating a high level of cooperation and mutual respect.
