Spring Coiler Set up and Operator

Summary: Sets up and operates spring coiling machines to manufacture springs or wire forms according to prints, samples and or other approved documents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Reviews prints and all instructions covered by the job traveler in order to determine needed setup procedures. Request or obtains the material specified by the traveler and verifies the material specifications and designated lots of material to be processed.

Produce First Article Samples and submits to Quality for verification of compliance and or needed adjustments, and then begins the coiling process once approved. The Set Up/Operator will monitor the process by performing the required inspection specified by work instructions, special instructions designated by the traveler and/or the supervisor. All measurements will be performed using calibrated instruments approved by the Quality Department and all safety procedures will be followed during operation. Other duties may be assigned.
