Job Summary
We are seeking an organized and experienced Specificaion & Technical Sales Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The Technical Sales Coordinator is a mission-critical role at the intersection of sales, engineering, and customer experience. This position is designed for a technically savvy, detail-obsessed professional who thrives on turning complex construction data into revenue opportunities. You'll be the backbone of our specification-driven growth strategy—identifying high-value projects, providing precision technical support, and ensuring our products are positioned for win after win. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background combined with exceptional sales skills to drive our product offerings in the market.
- Proactively research Dodge Reports, ConstructConnect, and other construction databases to uncover relevant projects nationwide.
- Qualify leads for revenue potential, specification requirements, and alignment with BoMetals' product portfolio.
- Maintain a dynamic pipeline of opportunities in Sage 100 CRM for real-time visibility.
- Perform accurate, efficient technical takeoffs for joint systems, waterstop, and specialty products.
- Create and refine CAD drawings for submittals, installation guides, and engineered details.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Provide technical product guidance to contractors, engineers, and distributor partners.
- Partner with factory sales reps to prepare project-specific proposals and win strategies.
- Follow up on open quotes, ensuring timely responses and high conversion rates.
- Ensure every project touchpoint is captured in Sage 100 CRM—lead to quote to close.
- Track and report on key metrics: quote-to-order conversion, specification wins, and opportunity value.
- Minimum 3 years in technical sales support, estimating, detailing, or project coordination in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD platforms.
- Solid understanding of construction site workflows, submittal processes, and general project management.
- Strong communication skills—able to translate technical details into clear, persuasive information.
- High-level organizational discipline with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience with Sage 100 CRM or equivalent ERP/CRM platforms.
- Prior work with joint systems, waterstop, or related construction accessories.
