Sonar Operator

As a Sonar Operator You Will Be Responsible For

- Preparing equipment & work units for jobs.

- Performing tool maintenance, pre-job and post- job tool checkout

- Driving to and from customer location

- Maintaining ELD/DOT records

- Acquire and interpret field data

- Rigging-up and rigging-down equipment at the well site

- Pressure control operations

- Completing job-related paperwork in a thorough manner

- Works directly with Customer Representative on location

- Promoting and maintaining good customer relations

- Performing basic duties at the well site and at the shop

- Ability to learn and operate the different tools and services that we offer our customers

- Driving company vehicles in a safe manner while observing Company and government regulations

- Participating in quality improvement efforts

- Performs other related duties as required, or assigned

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job

- Subject to “on call” hours 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

- Long work hours

- Lifting, carrying, turning, squatting and moving with heavy loads

- May be required to work out of town for extended periods.

- Outdoor environment subject to temperature and weather change

- Exposure to high pressure well bore environments

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience

- Cased Hole or Open Hole Field Supervisor/Engineer

- 1-5 years of wireline experience

- 24 hr. radiation safety training

- Manlift Certification

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

Requirements:

- Must be at least 21 years of age

- Must have never been convicted of a felony

- Possess a valid class A or B CDL

- Must have not been cited for three (3) moving vehicle violations in the past 12 months

- Must successfully complete a DOT Physical

- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening

- Must pass background check

- Must have a valid passport

- Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Socon is required

- Relocate to Houston, Texas area
