Solids Control Technician

Capex Oilfield Services is a privately owned company providing rental equipment, service, and support to the energy industry.

We are currently seeking several experienced Solids Control Technicians for our Midland TX, Branch. Candidates with previous centrifuge, drilling rig, or solids control are encouraged to apply. Mechanical aptitude, knowledge of closed-loop drilling systems, front-end loader experience, and a desire to work in a safety conscious environment is required.

Responsibilities + Qualifications

- Stripping and de-watering fluid

- Service, maintenance, and optimization of our suite of solids control equipment (pumps, tanks, centrifuges and stands)

- Troubleshooting of centrifuge issues in the field

- Dealing effectively with customer concerns and requests

- Maintaining a high standard of quality control, organization, and adhering to all company and customer safety policies at all times

- Completing company service sheets, mileage logs and other documentation as per company policies

- Working in the shop as required

- Ability and desire to learn, prioritize, work independently

- Previous rig and solids control experience is an asset

Positional expectations:

- All Technicians work on a “hitch” rotational basis following a 14/14 schedule. Two weeks on, two weeks off.

- While on hitch, technicians live on the work location with accommodations provided.

- Once assigned, technicians are expected to drive directly to their work location when reporting for their rotation.
