Solar Superintendent
Location: Project Site – Texas

Purpose
Virtus Renewables seeks an experienced and driven Solar Superintendent to lead the successful execution of utility-solar remediation projects across Texas. This role is responsible for directly supervising field crews, managing daily installation activities, and ensuring quality and safety standards are consistently upheld.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing solar construction teams and installations, with a strong understanding of electrical systems, site logistics, and construction best practices. Field Supervision & Execution
•Provide on-site leadership and supervision of crews and support staff.
•Oversee daily site operations, including work planning, task delegation, and resource management.
•Ensure project tasks are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with design specifications.
•Interpret construction drawings, schematics, and project documents to direct work efficiently.
Health, Safety & Quality Assurance
•Enforce compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and project-specific safety plans.
•Conduct daily safety meetings and on-site inspections to identify and correct hazards.
•Promote a safety-first culture through proactive coaching and enforcement of best practices.
•Monitor workmanship and installation quality, identifying and resolving deficiencies in real-time.
Project Coordination & Reporting
•Coordinate with Project Managers and Engineers to meet project milestones.
•Track construction progress, maintain accurate daily logs, and communicate updates to leadership.
•Support operational troubleshooting, O&M escalations, and issue resolution as needed.
•Assist with material verification, equipment deliveries, and field-level scheduling adjustments.
Required Skills and Expertise
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in solar installation, construction supervision, or a similar leadership role. Previous experience as a Superintendent or Senior Foreman on solar projects is required.
Technical Proficiency:
•Strong understanding of solar PV systems, racking installation, wiring practices, and testing procedures.
•Ability to read and interpret electrical and structural plans and one-line diagrams.
•Familiarity with construction tools, safety equipment, and solar installation hardware.
Licensure & Certifications:
•Journeyman or Master Electrician License (preferred).
Leadership & Communication:
•Proven ability to lead diverse field teams and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
•Comfortable making real-time decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced field environment.
Education and Certifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training or coursework in electrical systems, construction management, or renewable energy is preferred.
Certifications: OSHA 30 required. Additional safety or trade certifications are a plus.
