About This Job
Pure Energy Group has an opening for a full-time individual to join our solar installation team. As a Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Installer, you will perform a variety of duties as outlined below.
Essential functions

PV installers typically do the following:
•
Plan PV system configurations based on customer needs, site conditions, and design documents.
•
Measure, cut, and assemble the support structure for solar PV panels.
•
Install solar modules, panels, and support structures according to building codes and standards, and design documentation.
•
Use and operation of powered man lifts.
•
Connect PV panels to the electrical system.
•
Apply weather sealant to equipment being installed.
•
Activate and test PV systems.
•
Perform routine PV system maintenance.
PV Installers typically will progressively learn to do the following:
•
Customer Communications.
•
Monitor, anticipate, and communicate project equipment needs.
•
Utilize Air Table for scheduling, and project planning.
•
Report safety concerns in writing, using Safety Suggestion/Hazard Report Form to Supervisors.
•
Project Completion communication: office staff, system commissioning agent for startup.
•
Driving and maintaining company vehicle: reporting mechanical/ safety issues, maintaining cleanliness.
Physical demands
•
Ability to work 8-10 hour shifts
•
Physically capable of lifting 40-45 lbs frequently, and occasionally 55-60 with assistance
•
Able to stand for long periods, crawl in tight spaces, kneel, squat, climb ladders, walk on roofs
Travel required
•
Travel to job site, most within an hour
•
Travel to company shop sites to pickup/ work on equipment
•
Travel to vendors to pick up job materials
•
Occasional overnight stay for out of town jobs
Preferred experience
•
Experience towing a trailer
•
Experience operating a powered man lift and other equipment
Certification/Licensing requirements
•
Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license
Required Education
•High school diploma
