ELECTRICAL EXPEIRENCE IS REQUIRED.
GreenGrids is looking for a Solar Electrician. In this role, you would be responsible for Installing the electrical infrastructure for the solar PV system. Installing and wiring the AC disconnect, solar sub panel, and the data monitoring system. You will also be making the point of interconnection with the grid. You must be able to bend and install conduit and perform other electrical tasks such as panel upgrades.
Responsibilities:
•Adhere to GreenGrids and OSHA safety standards.
•Running AC wiring for disconnect, data monitoring and sub panel; service panel upgrades; meter pedestal change outs.
•General electrical work related to construction, home improvement, & energy efficiency.
Qualifications:
•Prior electrician experience and/or equivalent electrical work practical knowledge.
•Proven experience as an electrician with vast residential electrical experience.
•Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
•Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
•Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
•Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts.
•Must be organized and possess strong attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
•Lift 75 pounds repeatedly
•Bend over and kneel on surfaces.
•Squat, crawl, twist in a variety of ways.
•Drive power tools and use other small tools such as hammers and wrenches.
•Handle inclement weather.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
•Knowledge/understanding: Grid-tied PV system design, electrical wire sizing, and conduit connections.
•Must have excellent teamwork and communication skills including the ability to foster a positive team environment through collaborative decision-making.
•Must have a clean driving record and access to transportation to the job site.
•Preferred but not required: NABCEP certification, and previous experience installing solar PV systems.
Schedule:
•Monday to Friday overtime as needed (typically 50 hours per week)
Education:
•High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
•Electrical: 1 year MINIMUM
License/Certification:
•Driver's License (Required)
