At Raco Steel Company, we’re looking for a skilled Slitting Machine Operator that can expertly set up, operate, and maintain slitting equipment to convert large master rolls into high quality finished rolls. 2nd shift- 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Starting pay: $22.89/hr plus $0.45 shift differential.

- Set up, operate, and monitor slitting machines to cut large rolls of material into precise sizes.
- Load and unload rolls safely using hoists, carts, or forklifts.
- Perform quality checks to ensure materials meet specifications and customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot machine or material issues to minimize downtime.
- Accurately label, package, and prepare finished rolls for shipping or further processing.
- Maintain accurate records of production and quality inspections.
- Follow all safety procedures, perform routine machine maintenance, and keep a clean work area.
- Physical Ability: Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs.
- Certifications: Forklift operator certification desirable–training available!
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience in machine operating, preferably in slitting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use measurement tools.
