We are hiring a Site Selection Manager to support the development of power generation projects—including gas generation and microgrids—as part of our mission to deliver reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy solutions. You will lead efforts to identify and secure land for distributed energy projects, working closely with internal teams, landowners, and public agencies. Your expertise in land strategy, regulatory compliance, and negotiations will be key to advancing Pacifico’s U.S. energy portfolio.

This role will be based in Dallas, Texas.

What you get to do:

Site Identification & Assessment

•

Identify and assess land parcels for gas generation and microgrid development.

•

Conduct due diligence, including environmental screening, zoning review, ownership verification, and utility access.

•

Use GIS tools and market data to evaluate land suitability.

Land Negotiation & Acquisition

•

Develop and execute land acquisition strategies, including negotiation of lease agreements, purchase contracts, and easements with landowners.

•

Coordinate with legal counsel to ensure proper documentation and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

•

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage due diligence activities related to land acquisition, including GIS-based assessments

Stakeholder Engagement

•

Build and maintain relationships with landowners, local communities, and government agencies to ensure smooth land acquisition processes.

•

Address any concerns or issues raised by stakeholders and seek mutually beneficial solutions, utilizing GIS data and analysis to communicate site suitability and benefits.

Project Planning Support

•

Collaborate with the project development team to provide input on land-related matters during project planning and design stages.

•

Assist in obtaining permits, licenses, and approvals related to land acquisition and project development.

Contract & Risk Management

•

Review contracts and legal documentation for accuracy and risk exposure.

•

Proactively identify potential issues related to title, environmental concerns, or community acceptance.

Reporting & Documentation

•

Maintain comprehensive records of land activity, agreements, and acquisition status.

•

Provide regular updates to internal teams on land pipeline progress and potential risks.

What you bring to the role:

•

Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Land Management, Business, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.

•

Proven experience in land acquisition or real estate development, preferably in the energy or infrastructure sector.

•

Strong knowledge of land rights, property law, permitting processes, and regulatory frameworks.

•

Familiarity with distributed generation, gas power projects, and microgrids strongly preferred.

•

Proficient in GIS tools and mapping platforms, as well as other relevant software for data analysis and documentation.

•

Ability to assess site suitability, including environmental, regulatory, and zoning considerations.

•

Skilled negotiator with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage landowners and stakeholders.

•

Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects across geographies.

•

Willingness to travel regularly for site visits and stakeholder engagement.
