At KBC (A Yokogawa Company), we’re looking for a Simulation & Data Science Presales Lead to join our Global Technology Pre-Sales Team. This is a unique opportunity to promote advanced solutions in Oil & Gas and Refining, helping customers improve operations and move toward net-zero goals.

- Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients during the sales process by delivering demos, pilots, and tailored proof-of-concept models.
- Use a combination of first-principles simulation and AI/ML techniques to solve engineering challenges.
- Present simulation results, predictive models, and digital twin concepts clearly to both technical and executive audiences.
- Work closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to match customer needs with solutions.
- Respond to RFPs, support bid processes, and participate in technical evaluations to gain customer trust.
- Provide feedback to guide product innovation based on customer input and industry trends.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chemical Engineering (or closely related field) — this is essential.
- 3+ years’ experience in process modelling, simulation, or data science within Oil & Gas, Refining, or Petrochemical industries.- Proven experience applying AI or machine learning techniques to simulation, modelling, or optimization systems.
- Hands-on experience with Aspen HYSYS, Petro-SIM, gPROMS, Modelica, or Python-based simulation tools.
- Proficiency with data science and analytics tools such as Python, pandas, Power BI, or Plotly.
- Demonstrated ability to apply AI or ML to simulation or engineering problems.
- Ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.
- Experience supporting sales or business development is a plus.
- Background in presales, technical consulting, or solution engineering preferred but not required if you have customer-facing engineering experience.
- Experience with digital twins, advanced process control, or real-time optimization.
- Knowledge of OT/IT integration such as PI System, SCADA, or DCS.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and industrial data infrastructure.
