Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Blaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting and coating by blasting clean. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, as well as the ability to operate specialized equipment safely and efficiently. The Blaster will work in a manufacturing environment, ensuring high-quality finishes on products while adhering to safety protocols.

Duties

- Operate blasting equipment to prepare surfaces for painting or coating applications.

- Utilize airless paint spraying techniques for efficient application of coatings.

- Perform maintenance on blasting equipment and ensure it is in good working order.

- Handle materials safely, including the use of hand tools and power tools.

- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain quality standards.

- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations at all times.

Skills

- Proficiency in operating forklifts, cranes, and other industrial machinery.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing and machining processes.

- Familiarity with industrial painting techniques, a plus.

- Experience with fabrication, assembly, and materials handling in a warehouse setting.

- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material quantities.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
