EthosEnergy is currently seeking an Erector/Blaster for our facility in Houston, TX. Who will help build and assemble, Steam and Gas turbine components, get them ready for engineering test. Build steam and compressor units with little supervision.

- Rigging and Lifting Rotors

- Rigging and Lifting Turbine Cases

- Assist with Advanced Assembly Activities

- Use Heat to Install Parts on Arbors

- Grind/Bench Parts

- Operate a Table Grinder, Machine Keys

- Operate Hydraulic Equipment

- Operate Oxygen Acetylene Torches

- Setup for LSB

- Perform Horizontal LSB (Check)

- Perform Vertical LSB (Check)

- Perform Horizontal LSB (Corrections)

- Perform Vertical LSB (Corrections)

- Use Heat to Remove Parts from Arbors/Shafts

- Stack Compressor Rotors

- Operate Overspeed Test Pit

- Remove Inserted Seals

- Install Inserted Seals

- Jack Parts to Re- round

- Disassemble Compressor Bundles/Cases

- Check Clearances with a Tri Bar

- Torque Bolting to a Spec

- Disassemble/Reassembly Valves

- Assemble Compressor Bundles/Cases

- Equipment Troubleshooting

- Perform Rotor Float Test/Bump Check

Required Skills / Knowledge

- Record data on prepared forms to document erecting results, clearances, etc. as required.

- Determine extent of damage and make reports on customer returned units.

- Remove burrs and sharp edges, mark, identify, preserve and protect parts as directed.

- Detect and correct errors such as improper fits, alignment, clearances and similar mechanical errors, or cause to have corrected.

- Consistently produce work of proper quality and of properly required quality.

- Setup and operate mill, lathe, and surface grinder with minimum supervision.

- Be able to perform complex rigging with minimum supervision.

- May be required to learn and perform basic blading fundamentals.

- May be required to fulfill temporary assignments outside of home department including customer work sites.

- Has a positive attitude toward safety; cleanliness, neatness, quality and quantity of work as well as respect for the comfort and safety of others.

- Travel to customer sites and other EthosEnergy facilities to support as needed.

- Adhere & Comply to EthosEnergy Safety, Quality and production standards daily.

Experience

- Equivalent to one to three years trades training. Seven or more years’ experience Requires the use of shop mathematics together with use of complex drawings, sketches, specifications, and charts. Use of variety of precision measuring instruments.

Education Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Physical Requirements

- Must be able to lift more than 25lbs unassisted

- Standing for long periods of time
