For over seven decades, investor-owned utilities, municipalities, cooperatives, and others have entrusted their electrical construction and maintenance needs to Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. (Elliot).
Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating, and industrial/commercial services.
We are seeking a mechanic to perform the following:
- Conduct regular maintenance on machinery, systems, and automotive vehicles, including tires and tracks
- Assemble mechanical components according to the manufacturer's specs
- Examine machines and perform diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
- Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records
- Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary.
- Perform vehicle/equipment assessments and alert appropriate parties on issues that will prohibit their vehicle/equipment from operating correctly or passing an inspection
- Perform DOT inspections
- Must have a minimum of four years’ experience
- Must provide own tools
- Must be willing to work as a team.
- Experience in electrical, hydraulics, and diesel preferred
- Must have or be eligible to obtain a Class A CDL within 12 months
