Shop Helper

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Shop Helper to join our team. This role provides essential support in daily operations, assisting with equipment handling and shop tasks. The ideal candidate will have some mechanical experience and possess mechanical aptitude, with a willingness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

- Perform daily duties around the shop such as sweeping floors and cleaning work areas.

- Operate forklifts and other equipment safely to move materials and finished goods throughout the facility

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop floor, storage areas, and workstations

- Assist with inventory management, including loading, unloading, and stocking materials

- Pick up and drop off parts around town

- Follow safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment for all team members

Requirements

- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity is advantageous

- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively

- Experience with forklift operation is necessary; training may be provided

- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks as required

- Valid driver's license and good driving record

- Basic understanding of safety protocols and procedures

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
