# JOB SUMMARY

To install, test, and maintain all electrical equipment and distribution

systems.

# ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Install circuits, lighting equipment, and electrically operated

machinery, as required.

Perform repairs and periodic preventative maintenance checks and service

on all electrical equipment.

Maintain and calibrate electrical recording instruments and gauges, as

required.

Perform periodic load studies on distribution systems to ensure adequacy

of system.

Report abnormal conditions of equipment to Facilities Engineer or

Foreman.

# ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Work in a safe and secure manner and comply with the safety rules and

procedures.

Report time and material used.

Operate jib cranes, forklifts, and other mobile equipment (except heavy

cranes) for the moving of material, components, and equipment from

location to location within the plant. Occasionally operate overhead

cranes and tow motors in support of small moves to continue production

within the department.

Perform general laborer duties as required (i.e. grinding, loading and

unloading of trucks and railcars as needed around the plant).

Keep working area clean and perform housekeeping duties around the plant

as required (i.e. pickup tools, roll-up hoses and cables, sweep).

# QUALIFICATIONS

Capable of reading and understanding wiring diagrams and machine

electrical schematics.

Capable of lifting 50 lbs. up to waist.

Requires 36 months minimum of job-related work experience.

Capable of trouble shooting and repairing low and hight voltage

circuits, including 3 phase.

# WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Exposure to inside and outside weather conditions.

Exposure to dirty and greasy work environment.

Close visual and mental attention required.

Occasional exposure to high voltage electricity.

Exposure to normal shop noises of grinding, chipping, high pressure gas

burners, and repair operations.

Moderate physical exertion required.
