Shop Assistant

Term: Full-Time, Seasonal – Summer Job (Immediately to August 30, 2025)

Location: Lloydminster, AB

Salary: $18.00/hour

Hours of Work: 40 hours weekly, over-time after 44 hours

Primary Role:

Reporting to the Shop Mechanic, the shop assistant is responsible for assisting the Shop Mechanic, completing daily shop laboring tasks and as deemed competent, in order to meet goals and expectations. If the Shop Mechanic is not available at any time, the Shop Assistant shall report to the Operations Manager.

Job Description/Responsibilities:

•

Working inside a shop environment

•

Assist with maintenance and repairs on company vehicles, semitrucks and equipment

•

Cleaning and detailing vehicles and equipment

•

Washing vehicles and equipment

•

Shop and yard clean-up

•

Clean and organize shop tools

•

Maintain good housekeeping in the shop

•

Required to work independently as well as part of a team.

•

Follow, know and understand all applicable company policies, practices and procedures

•

Work in accordance with the Marksmen HSE program.

•

Comply with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and all relevant regulations.

•

Work in a manner that will not endanger themselves or others.

•

Report all incidents and follow proper procedures when incident occurs.

•

Attend and perform in daily safety meetings, toolbox, monthly drills etc.

•

Worker must be fit for duty, remain fit for duty, physically fit enough to perform the job safely efficiently.

•

Other duties and tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

•

Class 5 driver’s license

•

The ability to demonstrate road experience with various vehicles and equipment.
