Our shipping and receiving department provides support throughout the manufacturing process. This role will be cross trained throughout the department, with an emphasis on the cleaning and passivation process.:
Cleaning/Passivation:
•Prepare products for passivation process to include cleaning, transporting and loading onto fixtures
•Prepare chemical bath, test samples, monitor solutions, and maintain documentation
•Process product through passivation process.
•Chemical/hazardous spill response, containment and cleanup activities.
Prepare manufactured goods through the final stages of manufacturing through shipment:
•Bead-blasting/sandblasting
•Mark customer parts according to customer specifications using laser and stylus marking machines.
Receive and ship Goods and Product:
•Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
•Count or measure items on incoming and outgoing shipments, verify information against orders and other records.
•Maintain appropriate manufacturing, receiving and shipping records.
•Pack and prepare customer product for shipping, ensuring proper packaging is used.
•Perform local deliveries and pickups in company van (CDL not required).
Perform general shop maintenance:
•Keep all bins, aisles and storage areas clean and clearly labeled.
•Assist machinists with maintaining coolant/chip bins
•Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
•Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
•Must be 18 to operate forklift and other equipment.
•The ability to pass a fork lift certification test (both written and behind the wheel)
•A clean, valid Wisconsin driver’s license (No DUI; 2 or fewer tickets in last 3 years)
Shipping and receiving experience preferred* but not required.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications, Etc.
•Must have working command of the English language and be able to communicate orally and in writing (basic oral instructions, simple written memos and instructions).
•Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications and routings.
•Must have good computer skills, including but not limited to, knowledge of various freight software, Microsoft Office, and label matrix programs.
Physical Demands
Must be able to frequently lift/push/pull objects that are 50 pounds or heavier.
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
