Overview:
The Shelf - Operator - Lead is responsible for supervising and assisting crew members in daily operations, including testing, repairs, and maintenance of equipment and safety devices. This role ensures compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards while maintaining operational efficiency and managing discharges and emissions within environmental limits.
Responsibilities:
•Directly supervise and assist crew with daily testing, repairs, and maintenance of all equipment and safety devices.
•Conduct daily safety walks and talks with all operations personnel.
•Participate in the company's Safety, Quality, and Environmental program.
•Ensure all personnel are working safely, wearing proper PPE, and following established protocols.
•Ensure platforms and process equipment function efficiently, reporting any safety-critical failures to the Production Supervisor immediately.
•Maintain operational log sheets, maintenance records, production reports, and BSEE testing records.
•Produce wells at the client’s requested rate.
•Operate, test, and repair safety shutdown devices.
•Verify emergency equipment and ESD systems are in good working condition.
•Manage, monitor, and report all discharges and emissions in compliance with environmental limits.
•Ensure all work is performed according to conditions outlined on the Permit to Work.
•Identify hazards and assess and manage risks effectively.
•Operating and maintaining pneumatically operated low-pressure and gas lift wells.
•Generators, compressors, float cells, draft burner glycol dehydration units, 2 & 3 phase separators, heater treaters, pneumatic panels, and pilots.
•Rebuilding controllers and converting snap action to throttle.
•Handling H2S and maintaining safety devices.
