Sheet Rocker / Drywall Installer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Sheet Rocker / Drywall Installer to join our construction team. This role involves installing, finishing, and repairing drywall and related materials in residential and commercial projects. Work includes preparing surfaces, completing interior finishes, and supporting project completion to defined standards.

Primary Duties

- Measure, cut, install, and secure drywall on walls, ceilings,

- Tape, mud, sand, and apply textures to drywall surfaces

- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings

- Perform basic plastering as required

- Install trim elements such as baseboards, door casings, and window trims

- Apply caulking around fixtures, joints, and seams

- Assist with framing using wood or metal studs

- Operate tools such as drywall screw guns, power drills/drivers, hammers, knives, and tape measures

- Install simple fixtures such as switches, outlets, and hardware when required

- Conduct drywall repairs, including water damage repairs

- Follow site safety protocols and OSHA standards

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

- Experience in drywall installation and finishing

- Ability to read construction drawings and measurements accurately

- Skilled in taping, sanding, and texturing drywall surfaces

- Familiarity with basic carpentry and framing

- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in tight or elevated spaces

- Valid driver's license and clean MVR

- Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and participate in random testing

- Knowledge of construction site safety practices

- Apprenticeship or relevant training is helpful
