Consistent with Christensen standards, the Service Technician will oversee the installation, tracking, maintenance and compliance of various propane, fuel, and lubricant assets. This position reports to the Service Lead.
- Reduce company’s Cost of Risk. Ensure that company and government safety standards are always met and maintain zero preventable accidents.
- Build, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair propane, fuel, and lubricant distribution systems.
- Perform site surveys to determine safest and most cost-effective solution for customers. Determine time frames for completion and set expectations.
- Assist with procuring equipment, parts and pieces including tanks, pumps, hoses, containments, and monitors.
- Perform maintenance on equipment including Leak Checks, Pressure Tests, repairs, and upgrades.
- Assist with other technical projects including monitor installations and plant maintenance issues.
- Complete paperwork requirements including Work Orders, Log Sheets, Customer Agreements, and Compliance/Safety documents.
- Respond to public inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within the area of assignment. Adapt to the needs of the business. Excellent customer service.
- Pursue further technical training and complete certifications.

- Collaborate with other Technicians, Operations Managers, Safety Managers, Insurance Representatives and Suppliers.
- High School, GED equivalent or higher
- Class B CDL or higher required.
- HAZMAT Certification required.
- Propane Compliance (Basics & Delivery) Certifications preferred
- Knowledge of various codes and standards including LPG installation, appliance service & basic electrical preferred.
- Excellent internal and external customer service.
- Clean driving record.
- Boom truck experience preferred.

- PPE requirements including steel toes boots, hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, gloves, ear protection, and cold protection.
