Overview
The Service Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our service department. This position is responsible for ensuring that all service technicians provide high-quality support and maintenance to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in field service, property maintenance, and mechanical systems, particularly in air conditioning and related technologies. The Service Manager will lead a team of technicians, manage schedules, and ensure customer satisfaction through effective service delivery.
Duties
•Supervise and coordinate the activities of service technicians in the field.
•Ensure timely and efficient completion of service calls and maintenance tasks.
•Review and interpret schematics to assist technicians with complex repairs.
•Train new staff on best practices for service delivery and safety protocols.
•Build strong relationships with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
•Conduct regular inspections of work performed by technicians to ensure quality standards are met.
•Manage inventory of tools and equipment necessary for service operations.
•Maintain accurate records of service requests, repairs, and technician performance.
Skills
•Proficient in operating tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics.
•Strong understanding of air conditioning systems and related mechanical components.
•Experience in property maintenance and field service management is highly desirable.
•Ability to read and interpret technical schematics effectively.
•Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team of service technicians.
•Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to mechanical issues.
•Valid driver's license with the ability to drive a service van as needed.
