About This Job

Resonant Link Medical provides fast, safe, and convenient wireless power for medical devices that go on or inside the body to help people get well, stay well, and stay well wherever they are. Our world-class team has designed our first-of-its-kind wireless charging into more than 50 different types of medical devices, including ventricular assist devices, neurostimulators, brain computer interfaces, and diagnostic devices. Resonant Link Medical is anchored by offices in South Burlington, Vermont, Zurich, Switzerland, and Boston, Massachusetts, and supports customers around the world.

As our Senior Technical Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in coordinating customer projects, optimizing internal processes, and ensuring efficient execution across our teams. Because we’re a small, fast growing company, the ideal person for this role combines technical project management experience with a desire to support and improve overall business operations beyond customer projects, like procurement, budgeting, forecasting, and more. Specific responsibilities include developing and managing engineering project plans, streamlining operational workflows, executing finance and business operations tasks, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration. Your efforts will directly support the timely and successful delivery of our innovative wireless charging systems for life-changing medical devices, driving team productivity, enhancing internal system reliability, and enabling our continued growth and excellence.

We’re committed to building a collaborative culture that spans disciplines and geographies. To help us deliver on our mission, we’re looking for detail-oriented problem solvers and empathetic team players who are passionate about working for a quickly growing and evolving business. If you thrive in a high-impact, hands-on environment and are interested in helping advance a promising medical technology, this is the role for you!

Your typical day will involve…

Project Management: Manage wireless power system design and development projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with company and customer goals and timelines. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure successful project delivery. Consult with the Head of Systems Engineering, who will advise on engineering effort, risk, and strategies, making sure to keep them apprised of budget, resource, and timeline status, among other things.
Technical Planning and Validation: Understand how to break down engineering projects into technical tasks and validate technical decisions and estimates.
Team Leadership: Work closely with the leadership team, including our Head of Systems Engineering, to coordinate resources, drive accountability, ensure transparency of project decisions, and build trust across the team.
Program Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify potential risks for customer projects and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Collaborate with the Head of Systems Engineering to determine and mitigate technical risks, while being responsible for overall program risks.
Documentation and Communication: Facilitate internal and external communication to ensure project cohesion. Maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Strategic Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency of program execution, reduce execution costs, and ensure customer satisfaction, while keeping a consistent focus on scaling up the team’s capabilities.
Company and Project Budget Management: Develop forecasts, manage budgets, and track expenses for engineering projects and other business areas to ensure financial goals are met.
Vendor and Supplier Management: Negotiate contracts, manage relationships with vendors, generate POs, and ensure compliance.
Problem-Solving and Risk Mitigation: Identify and address operational issues affecting projects and pertaining to company-wide operations. Implement solutions and develop contingency plans.
Business Operations and Process Improvement: Implement tools and systems, including new software and processes, to streamline workflows, improve productivity, and ensure compliance with company policies.
