The most important thing we build is TRUST Overview
As a Supplier Engineer at CAES by Honeywell in San Jose, CA, you will play a critical role in advancing the production of millimeter wave subsystems designed for defense and government applications. These systems support key technologies such as missile front ends, radar receivers, and wideband transceivers. You’ll collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Operations, and Engineering teams to drive the timely resolution of material technical issues across a variety of high-impact commodities, including electronic components, cables, and connectors.
Responsibilities
- Lead an integrated team across operations, engineering, supplier quality engineering and supply chain to resolve technical material issues
- Collaborate across engineering to enable resolution of material constraints and keep production lines moving efficiently in the supply base and in the Honeywell factories
- Manage supplier technical requests for product and process changes
- Drive Corrective Action Plans and root cause analysis with suppliers
- Coordinate customer communications for supplier changes impacting programs
- Translate and communicate technical data packages to suppliers
- Champion process changes that drive product affordability
- Assess supplier capacity, capability and technical health
- Perform technical evaluations for supplier cost and pricing analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field
- Minimun 6 years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience with RF/microwave components and applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license)
- Project Management experience
Salary Range:
$108,000 - $130,000 annually.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base bay. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate. CAES provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, 401K, paid holidays and vacation.
