- - Lead planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of complex substation projects from initiation to closeout.
- Provide strategic oversight to ensure alignment with organizational goals, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage project financials, including forecasts, accruals, and variance reporting.
- Oversee and coordinate with multi-disciplinary internal teams and external contractors to ensure safe and high-quality project execution.
- Drive project risk management processes, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Approve and oversee scope changes, contract modifications, and negotiation of change orders.
- Present project updates and performance reports to executive leadership.
- Serves as a mentor, coach and technical resource to project management staff, fostering growth and succession planning.
- Contribute to organizational development through process improvement initiatives and adoption of new project management tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Finance or related discipline or equivalent experience (Master’s preferred)
- 7-10 years of project management experience with substation, T-line, Electric Generation or Distribution projects.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, high-value projects with multi-year durations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management tools such as P6 and MS project.
- PMP Certification or equivalent is highly preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to influence at executive levels.
- Advance understanding of project scheduling, forecasting, cost control, change management, and contract administration.
- Experience with accruals, invoices, vendor management, subcontractor oversight.
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects in different phases of execution.
- Strong risk management experience, with ability to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
- Proficiency with ERP tools, Primavera P6, Power BI.
- Demonstrated success in mentoring and developing junior project managers.
- Strong client-facing skills with ability to build long-term relationships and contribute to business development.
