Job Duties & Responsibilities
•Lead engineering efforts on acquisitions of both marketed and non-marketed opportunities.
•Production forecasting for existing assets and acquisition opportunities
•Evaluate upside potential for existing assets and acquisition opportunities
•Perform high-level scoping of acquisition opportunities with both 3rd party and public datasets.
•Generate economic models for internal use in determining acquisition values.
•Provide a consistent reviewal of operator development trends across unconventional shale basins with primary focus on Permian Basin (spacing, target intervals, completion designs, etc.)
•Collaborate with Geology, Land, Operations, and other departments to update economic parameters for acquisitions.
•Optimize the internal systems for the acquisition process with the use of 3rd party reservoir engineering software.
•Monitor and prepare reports for drilling and completion activity on acquired mineral and non-operated working interest assets.
Experience/Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering
•5+ years of oil & gas engineering experience
•Experience in Permian Basin is preferred
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Spotfire, PHDwin, and/or ComboCurve
•Interpersonal and communication skills
•Attention to detail and strong analytical problem solving skills
