Product Manager – Data & AI Products (Oil & Gas)

We are looking for a forward-thinking and technically capable Product Manager to lead our Data-as-a-Productand AI/GenerativeAIproductstrategywithin our oil & gas software portfolio. In this role, you’ll be responsible for turning vast volumes of subsurface, operational, and commercial data into usable, valuable products—and for delivering AI- powered solutions that drive decision-making, efficiency, and performance across the exploration, production, and asset lifecycle.
You’ll play a critical role in shaping our data and AI roadmap, ensuring our customers— ranging from geoscientists to field operators to executives—gain real, actionable insights from the data and AI capabilities we deliver.
- Define and drive the vision and roadmap for treating enterprise and customer data as a product—emphasizing quality, accessibility, governance, and business value.
- Collaborate with data engineering, domain experts, and platform teams to design scalable and secure data pipelines, APIs, and metadata catalogs.
- Manage the lifecycle of key datasets such as well logs, land and reservoir data, production data, drilling performance, and emissions metrics.
- Enable internal teams and customers to discover, consume, and trust the data assets provided through our software platforms.
LeadAI&GenerativeAIProductDevelopment
- Identify and prioritize high-impact AI and GenAI use cases in oil & gas—such as predictive maintenance, reservoir simulation enhancement, intelligent document processing (e.g., well reports, permits), and virtual technical assistants.
- Partner with data science teams to bring AI/ML models and LLM-powered tools into production, ensuring solutions are accurate, explainable, and tailored to oil & gas workflows.
- Build AI-powered features directly into applications used by geologists, drilling engineers, and production teams.
- Evaluate and incorporate LLMs and other generative models for internal productivity
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle: market research, requirements definition, roadmap planning, execution, and go-to-market.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Data Science, UX, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver and scale AI/data products.
- Serve as the voice of the customer and domain expert—engaging regularly with oil & gas operators, service providers, and industry partners.
- Measure adoption, performance, and ROI of data and AI features, and iterate based on insights.- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in enterprise software or industrial tech, with 2+ years in data or AI-focused roles.
- Deep understanding of the oil & gas industry, including key workflows (exploration, drilling, completions, production, emissions reporting).
- Experience working with data platforms, data products, and cloud-native architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks).
- Strong knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals, including generative AI (e.g., LLMs, embeddings, prompt engineering).
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into customer value and deliver products in partnership with engineering and data science.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards like WITSML, PRODML, and Open Subsurface Data Universe (OSDU).
- Experience with real-time data, edge analytics, or time series data in industrial
- Background in petroleum engineering, geoscience, or data science.
- Experience bringing AI tools (e.g., copilots, virtual assistants) to technical or field users.
- Salary commensurate with experience ($160,000 - $225,000 US Dollars) with bi-weekly pay via direct deposit. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Quorum Software reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications, experience, training, work history, and geographic location of the selected candidate.
