Develop, validate and launch new products that meet the needs of new and existing customers. Diagnose and fix issues with existing products and processes. Responsibilities include:
•Managing projects to timing plans,
•Developing solutions in CAD and harnessing Norco’s energetic and dynamic engineering group as the project steps from concept through production using Norco’s project launch system.
Specific Responsibilities:
•Drive sales growth through the development of new products from concept through product launch;
•Work with cross-functional teams to precisely define product requirements ~ cost, weight, function, life/reliability, investment, etc.;
•Develop detailed design solutions using SolidWorks;
•Develop and complete prototype and production validation plans working with R&D to construct a series of tests that confirm design and reliability requirements;
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inspire the timely development and launch of new products through development and exercising of project timing plans;
•Collaborate with peers in development and implementation of best practices throughout the organization;
•Promote an environment that utilizes a systematic approach to address recurring issues; and
•Communicate well with internal departments from Engineering, R&D, Costing, Purchasing, and Sales.
Requires: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Aided Engineering, Computer Aided Design Engineering, or a related field. Certificates: Certified Solid Works Professional (CSWP); Certified Solid Works Professional Advanced – Sheet Metal (CSWP-SM); Certified Solid Works Professional Advanced – Weldments (CSWP-WD); and Certified Solid Works Professional Advanced – Drawing Tools (CSWP-DT)
