IAMGOLD is looking for a Senior Mine Engineer to join our Toronto team and play a key role in driving operational excellence across our sites. In this position, you will be instrumental in supporting operational reporting, data management, and technical governance initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy of operational reports and mine planning processes, contribute to the development of budgets and forecasts, and champion continuous improvement initiatives through the use of technology and innovation. Your ability to think strategically while delivering practical solutions will help shape the future vision of operational reporting at IAMGOLD.

As a Senior Mine Engineer, you will help foster a safe and sustainable work environment by actively supporting our Zero Carbon Emissions and Zero Harm goals. You will be a key contributor to the preparation of annual budget meetings, the maintenance of corporate dashboards tracking operational performance, and the consolidation of important reports such as the corporate MRMR and rolling forecasts. Your technical expertise will ensure that our data management processes align with company strategy, validate the accuracy of site-level reporting, and support financial analysis to optimize operational and capital expenditures. Additionally, you will play a leadership role by facilitating training sessions, sharing best practices, and contributing to the broader operations support hub.

Job Qualifications What You Need to Succeed

We are looking for someone with a post-secondary degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field. Additional certification in data science, data engineering, or computer science is an advantage. You bring years of mining-related experience, with operational and continuous improvement roles highly valued. Proficiency with mining systems and software such as Minestar, Minesight, Deswik, Wenco, and Xeras would be ideal. Experience within large-scale mining operations and exposure to project management practices are considered strong assets.

To thrive in this role, you will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, advanced computer proficiency, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively. Bilingual communication skills in English and French are a plus but not required.
