Summary

The Senior Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting Vicinity’s dynamic fast-paced efforts to grow its business. This role supports business development and executive leadership to align analytics, reporting and marketing initiatives with company growth goals. Working with all levels of the organization, the Senior Marketing Specialist will have excellent communication and presentation skills as well as experience in data-driven marketing initiatives.

This is a full-time exempt position reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications located at our Corporate Headquarters in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities

Retention Strategy & Execution – Develop and manage marketing programs focused on customer retention, engagement, and lifecycle marketing.
Content Development – Create compelling content for email campaigns, newsletters, website updates, presentations, and sales collateral that align with customer needs and business goals.
Marketing Automation & CRM – Leverage HubSpot for segmentation, campaign execution, and reporting to enhance retention marketing efforts.
Regional Marketing Support - Engage with regional teams to execute district-specific marketing priorities.
Event & Sponsorship Marketing – Manage and support customer engagement through events, sponsorships, and webinars.
Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to align retention strategies with business objectives.
Performance Tracking & Optimization – Analyze campaign effectiveness, report on KPIs, and continuously optimize marketing programs for customer retention and satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
3 years of experience in a customer facing role.
Experience with Microsoft Office with a high proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

5 years of B2B marketing experience, with a strong focus on retention marketing, customer engagement, and lifecycle campaigns.
Experience in Energy, Utilities, Engineering Services, or related industries.
Familiarity with customer experience (CX) strategies and customer journey mapping.
Proven success in content marketing, email marketing, and sales enablement.
Experience with HubSpot (or similar marketing automation tools) for CRM, segmentation, and campaign execution.
Strong project management skills with the ability to successfully work on multiple projects with tight deadlines while coordinating cross-functional teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong analytical skills with experience in tracking, reporting, and optimizing retention campaigns.
Collaborative and creative team player with drive for innovation and continuous improvement of systems, processes, and tools.
Self-starter with strong organization, project management, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
Successfully works in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Uses discretion in handling confidential or sensitive business information or issues.
Willing to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

Must submit to company required pre-employment drug screen.
Ability to access and navigate tight spaces such as mechanical and control rooms.
Periodic travel may be required (Up to 20%).
