Job Overview

Mainspring Energy is at the forefront of developing cutting edge products and is looking for a seasoned Manufacturing Engineer with significant experience in developing scaled manufacturing tooling and Automation systems, capable of setting up the next generation factories and will report to NPI Senior Manager.

We are seeking an innovative and highly skilled 

to lead the design, development, and implementation of precision tooling, material handling systems, and automation solutions for scaled production of a groundbreaking large electromechanical machine. This role will be critical in ensuring the successful manufacturing of high-precision components and assemblies at scale, focusing on quality, efficiency, and cost optimization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision fixture design, automation systems, and material handling solutions such as Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), overhead lift assist systems, and robotic cells. Experience in precision measurement and laser-based assembly processes is a significant advantage. Additionally, this role requires end-to-end ownership, including sourcing, assembly, commissioning, and installation of designed systems.

New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.

This position is  hybrid

at our Menlo Park HQ. The salary will be adjusted to reflect local market conditions based on employee location as well as the experience of the employee. Along with the base salary, Mainspring offers pre-IPO stock options + benefits.
