Responsibilities:
POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Manager of Wireline and Construction Operations will be responsible for overseeing the wireline and construction operations to support well plugging efforts safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include ensuring the wireline and construction functions are compliant with all safety and regulatory requirements. Their support will also be utilized in the bidding and marketing functions for the plugging department.
•Lead and manage the wireline and construction teams by providing guidance, training, and mentorship to wireline and construction managers. Participate in employee hiring, managing, and coaching practices.
•Collaborate with various internal plugging departments and with state officials to ensure effective planning and execution of wireline and construction operations. Develop and implement wireline and construction plans, procedures, and schedules in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
•Ensure wireline and construction functions are compliant with all safety, environmental, state, and federal regulations across all operating areas. Proactively ensure all necessary paperwork, permits, and licenses are in place and current.
•Ensure wireline and construction managers are upholding the company’s safety practices, policies, and expectations. Ensure managers conduct regular safety meetings and trainings and that all near misses, injuries, accidents, or illnesses are reported per the company’s reporting guidelines, regardless of the severity. Monitor and enforce employee participation in company trainings and in safe driving practices.
•Coordinate with field managers and leadership to address and monitor any personnel issues.
•Provide regular updates to leadership regarding field progress, issues, and delays. Oversee equipment rentals and third-party assistance when necessary.
•Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to wireline and construction operations.
•Review daily operations reports detailing and approving operational activity that occurred on site. Complete reports to be submitted in-house and to local state agencies when necessary.
•Ensure wireline and construction operations remain within the parameters of the bid proposals and plan projections. Track and report cost and spending updates.
•Prepare reports and documentation related to wireline and construction operations, including job summaries, performance metrics, cost analysis, and bid proposals.
•Identify and implement strategic improvements across wireline, construction, bidding, and marketing functions.
•Attend bid walks at project sites to gather detailed information about project requirements, scopes, and client expectations. Analyze the scope of the projects to identify resources, timeframes, and cost implications.
•Assist with drafting comprehensive and competitive bid proposals. Work collaboratively with leadership and operational teams to ensure proposals reflect practical and achievable solutions by providing detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and other associated expenses.
•Cultivate strong relationships with current and prospective clients through regular communication, presentations, and industry events. Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events to expand visibility and foster partnerships.
•Conduct research to understand industry trends, competitors, and customer needs. Use insights to shape marketing strategies and identify opportunities for growth.
•Assist with building and maintaining a strong, credible brand that reflects the company’s commitment to safety, reliability, and sustainability. Work closely with leadership to align marketing efforts with project goals and company objectives. Manage and regularly post on company social media accounts.
•Review time worked and PTO requests for direct reports.
•Check emails daily and comply with email requests as they are assigned.
•Perform other duties as requested or assigned, including occasionally assisting with non-plugging or special projects per direction of management.
Qualifications:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:* High school diploma or equivalent.
•Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred.
•Previous supervisory experience with the ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of wireline and construction personnel.
•Thorough understanding of and commitment to upholding safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
•Strong knowledge of wireline and tools, technologies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
•Strong knowledge of construction equipment, efficient use of materials, site building, and reclaim regulations and protocols.
•Proven experience in evaluating, drafting, and submitting bid proposals.
•Proven experience in marketing and sales, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
•Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors.
•Demonstrated attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
•Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
•Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
•Familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
•Experience with data analysis and interpretation.
•Proficiency in relevant software and technology.
•Willingness to travel to visit work sites; occasionally requires extended travel to remote locations and/or overnight stay(s) outside normal office area.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:* The individual must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required. This includes hard hat, safety glasses, FR clothing, respirators, earplugs, steel-toed shoes, or other protective equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done.
