Job Description Summary

GE Vernova's Grid Software business is seeking a seasoned Senior Manager to lead and execute our dynamic event program, adeptly managing all aspects of event budget, design, production, and measurement/tracking. The successful applicant will possess the essential ability to engage with diverse personalities and stakeholders, collaborating effectively to deliver exceptional events that align with our business objectives.

Your primary responsibility is to lead a robust global events program that includes our tier one industry shows and customer conferences. Our preferred candidate is passionate about delivering optimal attendee experiences, supremely organized, and a stickler for the details that ensure success; i.e. this role is perfect for someone who thrives on challenges and is eager to roll up their sleeves and take charge of processes that enable smoother internal operations.

You are an ideal candidate if you have a proven track record of delivering high quality events from proposal to delivery, on time and within budget. This role interfaces closely with internal and external stakeholders and leads the day to day activity of agency partners.

Job Description Essential functions:

Event strategy: Develop and execute event strategies aligned with the company’s overall marketing and business objectives. Identify target audiences, set goals, partner with internal stakeholders to craft briefs, and work with agency partners to achieve event marketing objectives.
Event planning and execution: Participate in the end-to-end planning and execution of 5-7 owned and third-party events and conferences. This includes venue selection, budget management, logistics, and vendor relationships.
Program development: Establish best practices, tools, and workflows that enable all event executions, including regional, smaller and/or sponsored events. Consult on these programs and provide oversight where needed.
Content development: Collaborate with the internal content, product marketing, regional marketing, and communications teams, as well as agency production resources to ensure development of compelling event content, presentations, and creative assets that resonate with the target audience. Work with portfolio marketing to ensure messaging is consistent with the GE Vernova brand and value proposition.
Promotion and outreach: Work closely with the field marketing and demand generation teams to kick start, program, and influence multi-channel marketing campaigns to promote events, including email marketing, social media, paid advertising, commercial enablement, and partner collaborations.
Audience engagement: Work with agency partners to create interactive and engaging experiences for event attendees. Develop strategies to facilitate strong positive audience experiences across the pre and post event lifecycle.
Measurement and reporting: Track and analyze event performance against goals, providing regular reports and insights to leadership.
Budget management: Responsible for budget allocation, cost control, and ROI analysis for event marketing initiatives.
Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with broader marketing team, commercial, product, and executive stakeholders. Ensure that all participating teams are equipped with necessary resources leading up to and following an event.

Education And Experience Preferred

BA/BS required.
6 or more years of related experience, including 3+ years of experience in event management in a business-to-business environment.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and presentation skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Critical thinker with an ambitious, solutions-oriented approach.
Fluency in Microsoft office (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint and Excel).
Demonstrated record of success in executing events.
Demonstrated record of success in managing events/marketing budgets.
Ability to travel 20-25% - including weekends.
